This Manual, an updating of the prior issue published in 1971, presents information on plastic materials, piping components, and design and installation procedures currently covered in codes and standards concerned with plastic gas piping systems. It analyzes and summarizes data from manufacturers, users, research facilities, and trade associations. The Manual has been prepared for use with Part 192 of Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, which contains the Minimum Federal Safety Standards for the transportation of gas and for pipeline facilities and the referenced ASTM standards.
