Process of stabilizing soil and soil additive product
A soil stabilizing additive is composed of (1) a vinyl acetate homopolymer emulsion which includes vinyl acetate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, a nontonic ethoxylated surfactant, potassium persulfate, sodium bicarbonate and water; (2) a polyvinyl alcohol mixture which includes water, hydrogen peroxide, glycerin and polyvinyl alcohol; and (3) a water-repellent emulsion which consists of paraffin wax, an ethoxylated surfactant, diglycol stearate, candelilla wax, stearic acid, water, zirconium acetate, and ethylene urea resin. A process of injecting the additive into the soil also is described. The additive includes a polymer, a water repellent, cross-linking agents, and plasticizers. All 3 ingredients are combined in measured amounts and mixed thoroughly before injection into a given soil. (1 claim)
