/sup 129/I magnetic hyperfine structure in the Heusler alloys Pd/sub 2/MnSb and PdMnSb

Hyperfine fields at /sup 129/I sites in the Heusler alloys Pd/sub 2/MnSb and PdMnSb have been measured and are shown to form part of a systematic trend of fields observed at 5sp elements. Theoretical estimates of these fields based on a homogeneous spin-polarized electron-gas model are compared to the observed field systematics.
