We consider [ital CP]-violating effects in decays of the type [ital B][sup [plus minus]][r arrow][gamma][ital a][sub 1,2][sup [plus minus]], where [ital a][sub 1,2] are the [ital J][sup [ital P]]=1[sup +] and 2[sup +] resonances, each decaying to the common final state via [ital a][sub 1,2][sup [plus minus]][r arrow][pi][sup [plus minus]][rho][sup 0]. The resonances enhance the [ital CP] asymmetries and also knowledge of their masses and widths facilitates calculations of the effects. Several types of [ital CP] asymmetries are sizable ([similar to]10%--30%); these large asymmetries together with a model calculation of the ratio between the penguin and the annihilation amplitudes, can therefore provide a possible method for measuring the angle [alpha] in the unitarity triangle.
