DA[Phi]NE is an approved INFN [Phi]-factory project to be realized at the Frascati National Laboratories of Italy. DA[Phi]NE consists of the construction of a two-ring colliding beam [Phi] Factory and a 510 Mev e[sup +]/e[sup [minus]] injector for topping-up. KLOE is a general purpose detector to be used at DA[Phi]NE which is optimized for the study of CP violation in K[sup 0] decays with the aim of achieving a statistical accuracy of [approximately] 10[sup [minus]4] for R([var epsilon][prime]/[var epsilon]) in a one year run at the DA[Phi]NE target luminosity of 10[sup 33] cm[sup [minus]2] S[sup [minus]1]. In the electromagnetic calorimeter front end electronics readout system, the ADC modules are used to provide energy deposit information. A prototype 12 bit/1us ADC CAMAC module has been developed and tested by a system based on the Macintosh computer. Characteristics and performance of the system are described.
