A theory is proposed which predicts that the spectrum for Zeeman lasers with a single longitudinal mode should be split into several spectral lines. The Racah model of the Ne atom is used to calculate the oscillation frequency and intensity of a 632.8 nm He-Ne longitudinal Zeeman laser, and the results are discussed.
