Ozone damage to plants
Journal Article
·
· Annu. Rev. Phytopathol.; (United States)
The problem of ozone injury to plants is discussed in relation to natural sources of ambient ozone, susceptible plant species and the symptoms produced, environmental predisposition, metabolic effects, as well as how plants may be protected from damage. The degree of injury to susceptible plants is directly related to the concentration of ozone to which they are exposed and to the duration of the exposure. A list of plants that have been reported as susceptible to ozone injury is included.
