This dissertation examines the effects of nonstandard anomalous W magnetic dipole (kappa) and electric quadrupole (Q) moments on W-boson production. Using general values for kappa and Q, an analytic expression is derived for the double-energy distribution of the final leptons in e/sup +/e/sup -/ ..-->.. W/sup +/W/sup -/ ..-->.. absolute value of /sup +/nu/sup -/anti-nu. An expression for the energy distribution of one of the leptons is also given in analytic form, with numerical examples illustrating the feasibility of using these expressions to fix the three-gauge-boson couplings. It is found that the double distribution might be used even at low energy to determine kappa and Q. For the reactions ..gamma.. + n ..-->.. W/sup -/ + p and ..gamma.. + p ..-->.. W/sup +/ + n, cross sections and energy and angular distributions are calculated numerically with the inclusion of nonstandard values of kappa. The effects of arbitrary kappa and Q on inelastic photoproduction of W-bosons are also examined.
