SIMION is an electrostatic lens analysis and design program originally developed by D.C. McGilvery at Latrobe University, Department of Physics and Chemistry, Bundoora Victoria, Australia, 1977. The SIMION PC/AT version, developed at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, is an extensively revised version designed for highly interactive use on PC/AT class computers. Version 3.0 is the second major release of SIMION PC/AT. Extensive algorithm modifications have dramatically improved this version's computational speed and accuracy.
