Michigan's ''deep'' St. Peter gas play continues to expand

The Michigan basin St. Peter sandstone (AKA Prairie du Chien) play appears to be a structural trap with reservoir quality fixed by depositional and diagenetic factors. The exploration procedures are reviewed in this paper. Topics considered include sedimentary basins, geologic traps, natural gas deposits sandstones, sedimentation, diagenesis, and reservoir rock.
