The evolution of visibility deterioration and aerosol spectra in the St. Louis urban plume

Journal Article · · J. Air Pollut. Control Assoc.; (United States)
Information is reported on the evolution of visibility anomalies and accompanying aerosol size spectra derived from cloud condensation nucleus measurements in the downwind plume of St. Louis. Estimates are acquired of standard meteorological data, horizontal visual range, and aerosol characteristics within the mixing layer upwind, over, and downwind of the metropolitan area by airborne transects.
