This report addresses the potential biological effects of hot particles on the skin and reviews the presently available information on the subject. This information is presently less complete than one would wish, and more information is to be expected in the near future. The report makes recommendations on limits of exposure from hot particles in the work place based on avoidance of severe deterministic effects.
