Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6575854
The volume presented the results and discussion for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in ambient air. It was divided into the contributions of five of the technical subcommittees: Quality Assurance, Data Management, Ambient Monitoring, Emission Inventory, and Modeling and Source Identification. It included summaries of the concentration data for the 22 VOCs measured at 13 sites during the period from September 1987 to October 1989, description of the variability of the reported concentrations and caveats concerning their use; qualitative (not statistical) site-to-site comparisons; comparisons to concentrations reported for other urban locations in other studies; point, area, and mobile source inventories; microinventories of potential sources within one kilometer of the samplers at each site; and source identification efforts using the reported concentrations, meteorology, emission inventories, and the meteorological devices of the pollutant rose and surface back-trajectory.
