Cost estimates for the (proposed) Gladbeck plant (in German)

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6573304
The Gladbeck hydrogenation plant was planned to be an extension of the Scholven plant, but it was not completed during the War. These reports contained several lists of estimated costs of the plant and its operations. One list was a preliminary estimate and the others were expanded and revised lists dating from a year later. For each installation in the plant, costs were divided into cost of buildings and structures, cost of equipment and labor, and extra cost for protection against air raids. The various installations listed were those for hydrogen generation, hydrogenation, treatment of circulating gas, treatment of phenol water, provision of energy, supply of heating gas, and miscellaneous. One of the tables expanded each of the headings above into much more detailed listings of apparatus and labor costs. Another table explained reasons for the revisions in the estimates after a year. Also, the tables contained side information on such topics as costs for protection from air raids and costs for using imported labor.
