A test programme is being carried out to determine the corrosion resistance of candidate gas turbine vane and blade base alloys and protective coating systems in the effluent from a pressurised fluidised bed coal combustor. The results discussed in this paper are based upon specimens exposed to hot combustion gases in the low velocity test section.
