Reflection nebula in S155

Journal Article · · Publ. Astron. Soc. Pac.; (United States)
DOI:https://doi.org/10.1086/131933· OSTI ID:6570449
The presence of a blue reflection nebula in the emission region S155 is detected. It is suggested that the B star HD 217061 is the illuminating star of the reflection nebula, although the ionizing star is the more distant O star HD 21786. Emission-line intensities of H-alpha, H-beta, forbidden N II 6583 A, He I 5876 A, and forbidden O III 5007 A confirm the model proposed by Felli et al. (1978) of this nearby, star-forming, molecular cloud region. IRAS intensities are used to study the dust emission. 12 references.
