OSTI ID:6568397
The Gobar Gas Plant has drawn the attention of the government and the people in the context of the countrywide scarcity of fuel and manure. The gas plants of the Sevapuri block, Varanasi, U.P., have been taken into consideration for the purposes of the study. This study was undertaken with a view to knowing the working and functioning of the gas plants in respect of their size, cattle requirement, maintenance, gas formation and consumption, seasonal variation in gas formation, benefits, cost benefit ratio and their problems, and also to know the owners - their socio-economic background, acceptance, and motivation. The importance of the study is that it will help both the government and the people to know in detail the working and functioning of the gas plants and their respective owners.
