Plans to award additional financial assistance to the Union Oil Company oil shale program

The US Synthetic Fuels Corporation plans to provide up to $2.7 billion in assistance to Union Oil Company of California for phase II of its oil shale program. Union's phase I project had been guaranteed up to $400 million in assistance in July 1981. This report provides answers to a number of specific programmatic, financial, and technical questions concerning both the phase I and phase II projects.
