Feasibility of biogas production on farms

An overview of biogas technology is presented. The following topics are discussed: the potentials and limitations of anaerobic digestion; on-site energy generation: relationship of demand to supply; economics of farm-scale biogas production; design considerations of the biogas production system; gas utilization; safety guidelines and regulations; and operation, maintenance, and diagnostics of small methane generation systems.
