The following information is given on the map, which includes Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, a small portion of West Texas, and states west of those named to the Pacific Ocean: low-temperature thermal spring locations; heat flow locations and values (given in microcalories/cm/sup 2/-sec); areas classified as Known Geothermal Resources Areas (KGRA); areas classified as being valuable prospectively for geothermal steam and associated geothermal resources; earthquake epicenters; major faults; volcanoes and volcanic cones of Quaternary and late Tertiary age; and selected cities shown on the basis of population, geographical distribution, and proximity to geothermal resources areas.
