Title: An efficient and accurate model for the structural analysis of threaded tubular connections

A structural analysis model for threaded tubular connections has been developed by use of advanced mechanics. This computationally efficient model yields acceptably accurate solutions for stresses compared with other available methods, such as experimental (strain gauge) or finite-element analysis (FEA) procedures. Beam-on-elastic-foundation equations are used to compute stresses caused by the assembly of the connection while the bolt/nut and Lame equations are used for axial loads and pressures.
