Instructions for home weatherization are presented. An easy method of approximating how much heat will be needed to keep any particular building warm is described and how to assess the benefits of improvements made to the building, such as adding storm windows, insulating ceilings, and excluding drafts is explained. There are four steps in the weatherization of homes: inspection of the building, (2) calculation of heat losses, (3) evaluation of data, and (4) installation of materials.
