The objective of this conference is to fill the need for improved communications between the developers and users of battery systems and interface electronic power conversion and control equipment through deliberations on issues of research and development of various battery-interactive electrical systems in commercial, industrial, space, and defense applications. The proceedings are divided into the following sections: Aircraft and military batteries; ALABC and advanced lead-acid batteries; Fuel cell systems; Commercial and scientific space batteries; Electric vehicle batteries; Portable power for consumer commercial use; AC power sources; and Charge and power conditioning electronics. Thirty-two papers have been processed separately for inclusion on the data base.
