Charting a legislative course
A.G.A., in partnership with the association's Government Relations Committee and its Washington Representatives Subcommittee, has been using the time since the November election to establish a gas industry agenda in the 104th Congress. Though the Republicans' ''Contract with America'' (CWA) will undoubtedly take up much of the legislators' time during the next few months, gas industry issues will have their place during this session of Congress, both within the CWA itself and as part of other issues that arise over the next two years. Issues which will be at the top of the gas industry's legislative agenda in 1995 are: the One-Call Notification Act; the Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Act; and PUHCA reform. These are discussed.
