Hyperfine splittings in 4p/sup 5/5p configuration of /sup 83/Kr using saturated absorption laser spectroscopy

Hyperfine splittings in the 2p/sub 2/, 2p/sub 3/, 2p/sub 8/, and 2p/sub 9/ states of the 4p/sup 5/5p configuration of /sup 83/Kr (I = 9/2) have been measured using diode-laser optical pumping and saturated absorption spectroscopy. The resulting hyperfine coupling constants are in good agreement with calculated values.
