Passive solar design in a hot-humid climate

Conference · · Proc. Annu. Meet. - Am. Sect. Int. Sol. Energy Soc.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6552978
A passive solar test structure was built to test design techniques that will achieve an internal bio-climatic comfort zone at high levels of humidity. These techniques include: the utilization of reflective exterior roof colors and angles, shading devices, and solar induced air cooled walls and attic spaces, thermal grounding of a large amount of shaded interior building mass, and interior air recirculation.
