LM2500 plant for PNEM rated 21,500 kW base load

A simple cycle plant, powered by, the newly uprated LM 2500 gas turbine, is being built in Holland. It will have an improved time-before-overhaul interval of around 25,000 hours on natural gas and is estimated to cost about $6 million which works out to $280 per kW installed. Details related to turbine design, operation, performance, and economics are presented.
