LWR pressure vessel irradiation surveillance dosimetry. Quarterly progess report, April-June 1981
The primary objective of the multilaboratory program is to prepare an updated and improved set of physics-dosimetry-metallurgy, damage correlation, and associated reactor analysis ASTM Standards for LWR-PV irradiation surveillance programs. Supporting this objective are a series of analytical and experimental validation and calibration studies in Standard, Reference, and Controlled Environment Benchmark Fields, Reactor Test Regions, and operating power reactor Surveillance Positions. These studies will establish and certify the precision and accuracy of the measurement and predictive methods recommended for use in the ASTM Standards. Consistent and accurate measurement and data analysis techniques and methods, therefore, will be developed and validated along with guidelines for required neutron field calculations used to correlate changes in material properties with the characteristics of the neutron radiation field.
