For mesoatoms in the region 6< or = Z< or = 17 we calculate the intensities of the satellite lines shifted from the line h..omega../sub 0/ by an amount deltah..omega... The line h..omega../sub 0/ is due to the (2s ..-->.. 1s) mesonic transition and contains information on the weak neutral moun-nucleus interaction, while the quantity deltah..omega.. is equal to the energy of the dipole transition in the electron shell of the mesoatom. The dependences of the intensities of groups of strongly and weakly shifted satellites on the shell occupation are determined. The probabilities of the conversion E0(2s ..-->.. 1s) and E1(2s ..-->.. 2p) meson transitions are obtained. It is shown that in the region 6< or = Z< or =11 the capture of at least one electron into the L shell causes the yield of h..omega../sub 0/ quanta per mesic-atom production in the Vertical Bar2s/sub 1/2/> state to decrease to about 10/sup -5/. An empirical method of searching for a situation in which the electron does not undergo capture into the L shell during a time approx.10/sup -10/ sec is discussed. The decay processes are studied in detail for the Vertical Bar2s/sub 1/2/> state of the mesoatom (..mu..Na), which together with (..mu..Ne) can be considered a suitable system for observing neutral current effects, since in these mesoatoms the total intensity of the nondiscriminated group of weakly shifted satellites for all the shell configurations no longer greatly exceeds the intensity of the informative line h..omega../sub 0/, while the effect of parity nonconservation is still sizeable.
