Cadmium and zinc in Chlorella pyrenoidosa and their effect on photosynthesis and respiration

The effects of cadmium and zinc on photosynthesis and respiration in Chlorella pyrenoidosa were studied. Several variables related to cadmium toxicity were dealt with including possible inhibitory effects of zinc on cadmium absorption, effects of median nutrient level on toxicity, and effects of light on toxicity. The effects of cadmium on photosynthesis in isolated spinach chloroplasts were also studied.
