After a two-decade hiatus, daylighting is re-emerging as a source of lighting for commercial and industrial spaces. The amount of energy that can be displaced by better scheduling of fixture-operation and lamp-dimming ranges from 10% to 40%. A new office building in the San Francisco Bay area reduced ambient-lighting kWh use by 70%. 5 figures, 1 table.
