The detection of a spectral line at 19418.7 MHz in the direction of the dense molecular cloud TMC-1 is reported. As a result of laboratory work recently made available this line can now be assigned to the 1(10)-1(01) transition of C3HD (deuterated cyclopropenylidene), and the observations can be used to derive the column densities of C3HD and C3H2 in TMC-1 as about 4 x 10 to the 12th/sq cm and about 1 x 10 to the 14th/sq cm, respectively. The chemistry leading up to the production of C3HD is discussed and evaluated for the case of TMC-1. 32 references.
