Sol-gel derived AR coatings

Porous sol-gel derived films prepard from aged polymeric solutions were deposited on PYREX and etched to produce AR coatings with solar averaged transmittance values greater than 0.97. This process appeared to produce single layer interference films rathr than graded index films.
