Interfacing a Gemini synchronous (line-commutated) inverter with a local utility and a mini-grid: test results
Data generated by interfacing a single-phase synchronous (line-commutated) inverter to a local utility and to a minigrid which simulated a 25 percent utility penetration are presented. Line-commutated synchronous inverters are used by some wind systems manufacturers for interfacing the direct current or rectified alternating current output of wind-turbine generators directly to utility ac power lines.
