Fusion excitation functions for /sup 16/O+/sup 27/Al and /sup 16/O+/sup 24/Mg collisions

Fusion excitation functions have been calculated for the /sup 16/O+/sup 27/Al and /sup 16/O+/sup 24/Mg collisions using the time-dependent Hartree-Fock theory. The theoretical results are in good agreement with experiment and predict the existence of a lower angular momentum limit to fusion for E/sub lab/> or =100 MeV.
