This report is an introduction to the theory of muon-catalyzed fusion. It will focus on the d-t fusion cycle. Three-body molecular formation, the deexitation cascade from the initial atomic capture of the ..mu../sup -/ to the ground state d..mu.. or t..mu.., strong interaction effects, relativistic corrections to dt..mu.. and dd..mu.. binding energies, elastic scattering, hyperfine quenching, and d..-->.. transfer reaction are all considered in this report.
