Automatic computer control of exhaustive deionization of water by combined electrodialysis andion exchange
An optimal control process for the exhaustive purification of water is proposed in this report. The need for reliable maintenance of the required level of water deionization raises the question of optimal control of the process. This report studies the combied process of electrodialysis and the ion-exchange method (mixed bed electrodialysis) which combines favorable aspects of both processes and serves as a promising replacement for the ion exchange method for exhaustive purification of water. The problem of optimal process control under production conditions is formulated both theorectically and experimentally. A solution of the problem of automatic control of the process is presented as a complete algorithm of the optimal control process.
