CW far-infrared laser-scattering apparatus for plasma wave studies

A description of the design and construction of the first cw far-infrared laser-scattering apparatus for the study of the frequency and wavenumber spectra of plasma density fluctuations is given. Scattering results from both a controlled laboratory plasma and the UCLA Microtor tokamak are discussed.
