LAMAP, the Los Alamos National Laboratory mapping code

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6518746
An interactive computer mapping code, LAMAP, has been developed for the Los Alamos National Laboratory. LAMAP can produce topographic and/or planimetric maps of any area of the Laboratory's 27,800-acre site to any scale. This paper describes briefly the history of the development of the mapping code, the acquisition of the topographic and planimetric data, and the Los Alamos Integrated Computing Network. It also presents a runthrough of LAMAP, highlighting the use of DISSPLA. Finally, a few uses that have been made of LAMAP and some of the additions that have been requested by its users are discussed.
