In-plane anisotropy of as-rolled copper sheet

The focus of this study is the quantitative prediction of elastic and plastic in-plane anisotropy in copper sheet. Texture measurements were made on rolled copper using x-ray diffraction. Elastic moduli were measured and are compared with Voigt-Reuss bounds as calculated from the measured texture. Experimental contraction ratios are compared with theoretical predictions based on incorporation of the measured initial texture into polycrystal plasticity models.
