This active solar system uses 465 ft/sup 2/ of liquid flat plate collectors and an 800-gallon steel tank for storage. The system was designed to provide 58% of the heating load and 85% of the hot water. Due to control and equipment problems, the system supplied 16% of the space heating and 48% of the domestic hot water requirements during times when the system operated. (MHR)
