Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6514793
The report describes the hydrologic characteristics of the Exeter Mines, in southern West Virginia, with respect to their suitability for water supply. Information in the report was obtained from July 1987 through September 1989. The report describes the occurrence and flow of ground water at the mines, recharge to the mines, ground-water levels, storage and availability of mine water, and quality of mine water. Seasonal fluctuations in ground-water levels, ground-water level response to pumping, and estimates of the volume of storage and practical sustained yield of the mines are also given.
