Coal fields are located and classified according to grade (i.e., anthracite, low-volatile bituminous, medium and high-volatile bituminous, subbituminous, and lignite) and sulfur content and deposits of coking coal with present or past production are located. Coal consumption/production charts are provided for each state. (JMT)
