This publication, part of the ACS Symposium Series No. 322, was developed from a symposium sponsored by the Division of Polymeric Materials Science and Engineering at the 190th ACS Meeting. The 31-chapter volume discusses polymeric coatings for metals and electronic assemblies with the principal focus on evaluating and selecting materials for use in corrosive environments. General topics include evaluation of materials performance, adhesion and interfacial aspects of corrosion protection, and materials for corrosion protection. Specific topics include electrochemical characterization of photo-cured coatings, performance aspects of plasma-deposited films, and polyurethane foam component lifetimes.
