Test and evaluation of the dual-range coincidence counter at the Savannah River Plant
This report describes the test and evaluation of a Los Alamos National Laboratory-designed dual-range neutron coincidence counter at the Savannah River Plant Separations Area. A variety of incoming plutonium metal and oxide shipments were assayed with the counter. Assay accuracies were 2% l sigma for pure metal, about 10% l sigma for impure metal, and 3% l sigma for oxide that was analyzed on a batch-by-batch basis.
