Minimum benefits analysis of residential passive solar sunspace designs

Performance estimates for attached sunspace passive solar designs have recently been made available by the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (LASL). These estimates are used as input to the LASL/UNM EASE2 model, which evaluates the economic performance of a sunspace design, both with and without a night insulation option. Other more qualitative aspects of the design are presented and their impact on the economic results discussed. Results are presented in tabular form for a subset of 220 SOLMET cities.
