The proceedings of Hearings are presented on a Bill which would require the Secretary of Interior to report to Congress before granting any authorization or permission for the transport of spent fuels or nuclear wastes to any territory or possession of the US. This Bill is presented due to the inordinant amount of secrecy in the selection of potential sites for nuclear repositories in the Pacific region. Testimony was heard from Senator Henry Jackson and Thomas R. Pickering, Assistant Secretary, Department of State. The text of the Bill S. 1119 is included. (DMC)
