Coal liquefaction pilot plant, Cresap, West Virginia. Monthly technical progress report, May 1978

During this month, two tlant runs were accomplished. Run 008 went from May 2 through May 17, with the Hydrogenation Section (600) on line for 130 hours on solvent/Dox oil, 15 hours on stored extract, and 6 hours on fresh extract (integrated operation). Run 009 involved Section 600 only, and ran from May 24 through June 1, with the section operating for 67 hours on solvent/Dox oil. Equipment and process control problems encountered are detailed.
