Relation between cluster density and Bautz--Morgan type

It is shown that galaxy clusters of BM type I, which are dominated by a single cD galaxy, are characterized by a higher number density of galaxies than are clusters in which the first-ranked galaxy is less dominant. This result is consistent with the notion that BM type I clusters are dynamically more evolved than are those of type III. 1 figure, 1 table.
