The Synthetic Fuels Update (SFU) provides abstracting and indexing coverage of current scientific and technical reports, journal articles, conference papers and proceedings, books, patents, theses, and monographs from all sources on synthetic fuels. All information announced in SFU, plus additional backup information, is included in the Energy Data Base produced by the Technical Information Center. The subject matter covered by SFU includes coal gasification, coal liquefaction, other coal processing, biomass conversion to fuel, shale oil and tar sand bitumen production, hydrogen fuels, other hydrocarbon fuels, alcohol fuels,and inorganic hydrogen compound fuels. Corporate, author, subject, report number and contract number indexes are included. Synthetic Fuels Update is available on subscription, which includes 12 issues plus cumulative index.
